Seronera Wildlife Lodge is located in the heart of Serengeti National Park up on the top of a rocky hill offering you panoramic view over the endless plains. During the dry season (June to November) Seronera Wildlife Lodge is the most strategic location to spot the "big cats" - lions, leopards and cheetahs as Seronera river attracts abundance of gazelles.
From April to May the Great Migration should be just around the lodge so you'll be able to see herds of wildebeests and zebras right from your window! Finally, during the green season, from November to mid-May, as lions and cheetahs spread out across whole Serengeti, Seronera remains the best place to sight leopards. It is only 5 minutes from the departing point of the hot air balloon safaris
Seronera Wildlife Lodge stands on the site of a semi-permanent camp built in 1925 by Leslie Simpson, retired American mining engineer. It attracted hunters coming for the infamous Seronera lions. Since hunting became illegal in late 1930s, the Serengeti turned into a permanent game drive reserve.
